Continuing to expand support for Microsoft® Windows Vista Operating System, CDV Software Entertainment USA is pleased to announce a new patch for City Life. The new patch, available in the downloads section, allows the city building and management simulation to be played under both the 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista.  (Note: a special installation process, detailed in the readme, is needed to install the patch under 64-bit versions of Vista).

Please note – this patch is only for City Life and not City Life: World Edition

CDV Software Entertainment USA and Monte Cristo are pleased to announce the upcoming North American release of City Life: World Edition, a significantly updated version of the acclaimed City Life, a fully 3D city building and management simulation. City Life: World Edition will feature new maps, over 100 new buildings, famous landmarks from across the globe and a built-in content editor to truly make each city the player’s own. City Life: World Edition is set to ship to North American retail on January 15, 2007.

City Life: World Edition, the follow-up to the critically acclaimed city builder, City Life, keeps all the great aspects of the original and expands the possibilities through exciting new content and features. Over 100 new buildings, including famous structures such as the White House, the Eiffel Tower, the Kremlin and others will be available in the game, along with new maps and a fully-integrated content editor. Now players will be able to create or customize buildings within the game, then share them online with other City Life: World Edition owners. Players will also be able to listen to their favorite music while playing the game by simply importing their favorite MP3 files.

CDV Releases Free Design Toolset for City Life

City Life, the critically acclaimed city building simulation, just got better as publisher CDV and developer Monte Cristo have released a special building design toolkit for the game. The toolkit, available at the mirrors listed below, allows gamers with an eye for detail to modify all the buildings in the game with Autodesk 3ds Max (not included) and then share these new designs as custom buildings. Gamers without the necessary design software can still use the toolkit as a way to import community-created designs into their copy of City Life.

To take things even further, CDV and Monte Cristo will be releasing multiple building packages in the upcoming weeks, which can be used by aspiring designers to modify every building found in City Life. City Life takes the city building genre into the 21st century with a powerful 3D engine and an exciting variety of gameplay features.
